What we collect — and what we never touch.

Your case files never reach us

This is the important one. CasePrompts generates prompt text only. The builder runs entirely in your browser — the party names, issues, and other details you type into it are assembled into a prompt on your own device and are never sent to or stored by this site. We have no upload feature and no copy of your record. What you do with the generated prompt afterward — and which AI tool you paste it into — is between you and that tool.

Email, only if you offer it

The only personal information we store is what you deliberately submit through a form — your email address, and optionally a name, company, or a note about what you'd use. We use it to send you what you asked for (new templates, waitlist updates) and to understand who finds the tool useful. We don't sell it, and we don't add you to anything you didn't ask for. Submitting a form is the only way anything about you is stored.

Analytics, without the tracking

If analytics is enabled, we use Plausible — a privacy-friendly, cookieless service that measures aggregate traffic without building a profile of you or following you across sites. The events we record are about how the tool is used (which step, which template, a copy or a submit) and never include the text you type or the prompts you generate.

Your browser's local storage

To remember your preferences between visits, the site stores a few small values in your browser's local storage — your selected practice and builder tab, and whether you've dismissed the announcement banner. These stay on your device, are not sent to us, and you can clear them any time by clearing site data in your browser.

Hosting & a note on AI tools

The site is served by Vercel, which processes standard request logs (such as IP address) to deliver and protect the service. If we later turn on the AI-backed features (a prompt grader or composer), the prompt text you submit to those tools is sent to our AI provider to generate a response and isn't retained by us beyond what's needed to return it — and we'll never ask you to paste case documents into them. Separately: the third-party AI tools you use the prompts with have their own privacy terms and their own data practices. Know which tier of tool your firm has approved before uploading case materials anywhere.
